one-to-one THERAPY

  • A child crawling through a yellow and red play tunnel on a padded play area with green and purple mats, in an indoor playroom with chairs and a patterned floor in the background.

    Occupational Therapy

The Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Gumdrops is a healthcare professional well-versed in a broad spectrum of developmental challenges, encompassing Autism, ADHD, or situations where a child may not have a formal diagnosis but presents with diverse challenges in school—whether social, motoric, or sensorial in nature.

The OT conducts a comprehensive assessment of the child and collaboratively establishes goals with the family. Subsequent intervention sessions are tailored to address these identified needs.

Regular observation and evaluation of your child's progress occur, allowing for the adjustment of goals and sessions as your child advances. This approach ensures that we remain on track, providing continuous opportunities for your child to achieve success.

  • A child wearing a wide-brimmed blue hat and a yellow shirt with train illustrations is sitting on a blue mat playing with a wooden train set. The child's arm is reaching to adjust the train on the track. There are storage boxes with toys and other equipment visible nearby, and the scene appears to be outdoors with sunlight casting shadows.

    Educational and Behavioural Therapy

Gumdrops' Educational/Behavioral therapists initiate their work with children as young as 2 years old, employing a playful approach to establish a strong connection and lay the foundation for learning. Sessions are customised based on the child's needs and developmental stage. As the child grows, sessions may become more structured, aligning with their learning journey.

Regular feedback is an integral part of the Gumdrops experience, keeping parents informed about their child's progress. Additionally, we often collaborate with school staff, fostering a coordinated and supportive approach to the child's development across different environments.

Our comprehensive approach, combining evidence-based practices, targeted educational strategies, and proven behavioural interventions, aims to support the overall development of each child. This holistic method provides personalised attention and equips children with the tools needed for success in various aspects of life.
